Am being offered contract roles, would literally triple my take home pay, but I also have a really great opportunity to own a global piece of work that I would love and am passionate about if I stay.. Currently Manager level, on the path to AD this year and they are confirming it will come with a pay increase.

Also - do bonuses get better / other perks as you go up the levels?

My current CTC is 8.5 fixed
What should i ask them as expected CTC in fixed and joining bonus which not very unreasonable.

I cleared 2 rounds of interviews with CGI. The very next day someone from the management team called me up and very readily agreed with me for my expected salary. He said he shall quickly ask the HR team to process my offer letter.

8th year associate at firm that pays market. Never been all that interested in making partner, but life is manageable.
I’ve been angling to get an in house job for years (not a huge market in my city for my practice), and finally got one with a company I like. But the comp cut is killing me.
$365 -> $205 with a comparable cut in bonus pay. Will I hate myself for making this jump? Or is it finally time to cut bait?

Next week FAANG earnings begin with NFLX and following 2 weeks all the big boys go. Are earnings going to be catalyst for next leg up or next leg down? Leaving the firm in few days, I've been chasing my SM for final review for deliverables and now SM is OOO until 2 days before my departure. I don't want to work my butt off especially two days before my departure. Any advice? Should I just ignore and leave or should I work 10-12 hours a day for my last two days?

I like my job but feel that my loyalty hasn’t paid in $$. It sounds like making a move might make sense right now. I current sit in ITS, ASC 740 and C Corp specialty groups at my firm. Any thoughts for where a move might make sense for maximizing my skill set? I’ve applied at some fortune 50 companies and gotten offers, but none of them seemed appealing (I’d be stuck picking a specialty). That’s the feeling I get at B4 too. Thoughts appreciated.

I work with a ton of individual clients whose books are never clean. Their retained earnings never rolls correctly from PY and sometimes I find it beyond my head to go into Quickbooks and make AJEs for them. Any tips on how to get good at GAAP rules? I know my basics should be good but I feel like I’m way better at tax returns than fixing their books.

Are there any firms that allow team members to do rotations on other teams? I have 6 years experience corporate tax but I am interested in M&A.
