I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

Have a friend who recently got promoted to MD at FTI. They literally do the work of Ms here. As a SD he did the work that our SCs do. It's a weird structure, but honestly I don't think there's an accurate way to align. From a compensation standpoint, I'm an M and when he was a SD I had 20k more in base. But he got two retention bonuses that I didn't get. No idea what his comp is now. All he does is complain that he was forced to get the vaccine to get his promo.

It depends on the level - I'm in FLC, and HR has said it can be as short as 2 years, but as you get more senior, it's closer to 4/5 years.
