What’s an acceptable amount of time to ask for before starting a new job, if you have significant responsibilities at your current agency? I don’t want to be presumptuous but... (cont)

For your own sake, know that you're not burning a bridge with a 2 week notice which isn't even an actual law/rule but a widely accepted common courtesy. Which you should always follow no matter what. But outside of that, There is no contract, it's at will employment and it's business far more than personal. If they begrudge you for giving 2 weeks, that's on them and speaks volumes, too. All of that said, if you truly feel more comfortable or extra charitable, give 3 weeks. But unless you're C suite I don't expect you to be giving long notice or tripping over misplaced loyalty to old shop because I expect you to be excited to start your new job at my shop instead 😉
Congrats on the new gig!

... don’t want to leave my current org in a bad spot with clients and work (it’s a relatively small shop). What’s the best approach to this without burning bridges on one side or starting on the wrong foot on the other?

I asked for two months bc I was traveling abroad for that long between jobs. I was good friends with the hiring manager tho. Depends on how long and how well they like you.

Need a level headed take on this— what is up with pharr rd? I saw a apartment complex on that street that looks really nice on the outside and the inside but I keep reading that pharr is “”sketchy”” which doesn’t seem to jive with my impression of it. Not trying to come off stupid or sheltered, but im from Wisconsin lol so I don’t have a good gauge for such things

My AD coworker (not currently my partner) just got hired at a new agency and wants to bring me along as his writer. I'd love to join. He told the recruiter at that agency about me and sent my book. I also have another former coworker (creative) who put in a good word for me.

Should I reach out to the recruiter, too? Or is that overkill after two recos? I don't want to be bothersome. But I do want to show interest..

This all happened on Friday, if that matters. Thanks!

That feeling when you get an offer for a full time job… but:
1) they change it from W-2 to 1099
2) they won’t provide a job description
3) they don’t offer health insurance

Hey Recruiters!
I’ve worked from the creative side to strategy to accounts to client side and have done so all over. I had to take about a year and a half long break for health reasons and am having a hard time having anyone even look at my resume. Are there ways I can show recruiters that I’m interested in settling down and building a true foundation at one company? Or is there a program (not requiring a bachelors) that can be taken to increase my network and likelihood of landing a position?
