I really think that the insurance policy given by mediassist is way more expensive for parental insurance, means who will pay for 50k+ premium and that too for large copay, I guess the leadership team should intervene here....Parental insurance is really important for any employee and most of the time is only needed.
Recently I used parental insurance and found that the insurance company only paid for 50% of the total bill.

If you’re taking FMLA leave you literally cannot check emails. “I am on extended leave until _______. I am unable to review or reply to emails during this time. My anticipated return date is _________.”
Rising Star
If you’re comfortable with disclosing why you’re out, I’d include the reason.
Parental leave is one of the few things that people might actually understand means that you really won’t be checking your emails.
Totally appropriate to say you’re out on leave or, if you’re so inclined, parental leave and provide a contact for your assistant and/or a colleague. I agree with an earlier post that disclosing you’re on parental leave will make it a lot more likely that your boundaries are respected.
Said I am on maternity leave and won’t have access to email while I’m out so please contact x person. Didn’t give a return date
^ makes sense. Thanks.
"I am out of the office on parental leave and will not be checking email or voice-mail during this time. Please contact another member of the team with whom you work. Thank you for your understanding during this momentous time for me and my family."
The last sentence is a little over the top for me.
“I will be out on leave until month, year. If you need assistance please contact name, email address, phone number.”
Say you are on parental leave, provide an alternative point of contact, and enjoy the new addition to your family! Congratulations!
I also saw a colleague say they were OOO and that they would not be reading emails when they got back. So if you still needed something when they came back on X date, email them again. I don't know if I would have the chutspah to do that (and this was not a law firm) but I loved it.
Say you’re on maternity leave. People will leave you alone.
