Are the posters above serious? I would say 11 pm is the normal time to sign off at BCG. This is standard M- Th. Friday usually you’re done around 3 pm or 4 pm.
Anytime before that is considered work time.

I mean, let me know if any of y'all decide to switch to federal consulting. My income potential is much lower but I'm pretty happy making mid-100k while rarely working more than 40 hours per week. Like a couple weeks ago I had to do 43 hours and I was annoyed.
When you ask your question it is probably a good sign to wrap it up for the day

When you hit 9 hours with a lunch, 8 without taking one.
I'll only work more than 10 hours if something critical is due.

Generally doing a 7:45am - 7pm day. Work out in the morning before work and take a few 15-30 minute breaks throughout the day.

The point at which you start working more than the hours you plan to charge. For example, 8 to 5 is 9 hours. If you plan to charge 9 hours, log off for the day NLT 5:01 pm. Easy peasy
Legitimate question, what the hell are you doing to fill a 15 hour day? The only time I’ve worked that long consistently was when I was deployed.
Woof. Seems pretty frustrating. I’m about 10 years in and do as little with slides as I can.
First block 5-7am, break for kids and breakfast, 9-4 while trading off
childcare with partner, break for gym shower dinner get kids to bed, last work block 8-11pm.
So technically I sign off at 11 but productivity is insanely low all day. Constantly worried I’m going to be fired. But also kind of hoping I’ll get fired. 🤦🏻♀️
