Hi! We are hosting a panel of importance of diversity in a global workplace. Any specific questions or areas that interest you?
Overheard a conversation where my project manager (SM) actually dismissed (openly laughed at) the systemic and structural racism of black and brown ppl. This is why inclusion & diversity is a joke.
Parents are deciding between moving to WVirginia vs Virginia for retirement to be closer to us based in fairfax, va(ideally be at 1 hour driving distance). They currently in the mid west but WVirginia appeals to them because of low taxes, low cost of living. We are also poc so appreciate some diversity.
What are some areas you would recommend both in Va and WV? What else should they consider prior to house hunting? Dad likes to garden/farm as well so looking for homes with large backyards. Tia!
Omg!! Just found out that that diversity episode from “The Office” was wrote by Ryan!! That’s one of my fav episode! (Week 3 of quarantine )
Well it took longer that I thought it would but here we go. Now we have too much black leadership and not enough Latino and Asian representation in leadership at PwC. How should I tell this person the real truth without having to write a dissertation? Whew 😅 I don’t have time today but I can make time 😂
I wish our industry was better than the latter mentality (and unfortunately it's not): "When you say diversity in the workplace, they hear special privileges for minorities at the expense of whites." https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/25/opinion/bannon-trump-polls-republican.html
Any ideas/suggestions on how to go about forming a diversity committee at a mid size regional law firm? I expect it would be met with some amount of resistance. Thanks!

You’re a WOC who advocates for inclusion in the industry.

What are your thoughts on this diversity visa debate? I always thought it to be an unfair program, strongly anchored on the lottery of birth. Selfishly, I hope it ends and instead the visa numbers are used for retrogressed countries stuck in the EB saga. At least the employment based route is a hard won merit based path.
I don’t understand why people make comments like this if they take pictures like this in public places. Now I’m confused as to what he really meant by his original comment. I’m assuming men in lingerie is ok and it’s just the gender stuff he has issues with? https://twitter.com/JoelLawsonDC/status/1517613452990234628
Anyone purchase books for Read Across America- Diversity/community titles? I’d love to hear your favorites for K-8.
Have Hyatt Globalist status (earned in 2019 when we were still traveling) and I really think it’s the best of the three major chains. It’s set to expire at the end of this month - has anyone had luck in Hyatt extending it for them?
