As a female I've worked a few times with all male teams. Usually it's great. But one time one of the managers was kind of sexist and treated me as a secretary, and at the same time one of my coworkers confessed (unrequited) feelings for me and wouldn't leave me alone. So that project turned out not so great...thankfully it was short.

💁🏼 My all-male teams have been awesome. A little bro-y at times, but always a ton of fun. I've found that the amount of attention I pay to sports increases on those teams so that I can always be part of the conversation.

Wow that's pretty crazy @A1 and I'm a female too and have def experienced the secretary thing on some male teams but I shut that down fast

I like working on male teams for that reason and also they don't notice / care when I don't wear make up lol

I've worked on varying mixed teams in terms of gender and usually they take on the personality of the team lead. As to the make up thing, we were on a construction site and I think the men actually spent more time on their appearance than the women, quite the twist!

Parents are deciding between moving to WVirginia vs Virginia for retirement to be closer to us based in fairfax, va(ideally be at 1 hour driving distance). They currently in the mid west but WVirginia appeals to them because of low taxes, low cost of living. We are also poc so appreciate some diversity.

What are some areas you would recommend both in Va and WV? What else should they consider prior to house hunting? Dad likes to garden/farm as well so looking for homes with large backyards. Tia!

Well it took longer that I thought it would but here we go. Now we have too much black leadership and not enough Latino and Asian representation in leadership at PwC. How should I tell this person the real truth without having to write a dissertation? Whew 😅 I don’t have time today but I can make time 😂

What are your thoughts on this diversity visa debate? I always thought it to be an unfair program, strongly anchored on the lottery of birth. Selfishly, I hope it ends and instead the visa numbers are used for retrogressed countries stuck in the EB saga. At least the employment based route is a hard won merit based path.
