What? It’s whatever country you have citizenship. How do you not know what country you’re a citizen of?

likefunnysmart

Lol your passport

likehelpfulfunny

What are you asking?

like

It sounds like op originally a was from one country and works in another?

If you never applied for citizenship of the newer country or are working remote there, then you would be a citizen of the passport one, most likely where you were born.

Normally, it’s your country of birth. Unless you applied for a citizenship to another country (usually the case when you immigrate). Your current passport is a telltale sign of your citizenship.

Sorry for the confusion, yes I was born in one country and still have its passport, but been in another country working for a few years now. The reason I’m asking is that the stock broker im getting as part of my TC is asking that and I was not sure why, since I only pay taxes in the country I work in. So thought it might be confusion in terminology

There’s your answer.

Is it taboo to assign “personal” tasks to your LAA? For example, I could really use an assist on rescheduling a hair appointment today. Didn’t assistants use to help out in this way: picking up dry cleaning, really managing your calendar, etc.? I have NOT requested these things of my LAA but as I get more senior, I could really use a full on personal assistant.

I'm working in Brisbane as a Marketing Coordinator and only make 60k per annum. Not sure if I should switch careers to Testing. But there are no entry level jobs for tester, everyone is asking for an experience. But the marketing pays really low.

Does anyone know of any roles with good pay in Marketing or entry level test analyst roles in Brisbane?

So I had a call with a with a recruiter two weeks ago and she asked for my salary range and I told her $120k-$150k she said she would submit me me at $140-$150 well the role was put on hold due to an acquisition. She has referred me for another role and we had the preliminary discussion but salary wasn’t mentioned should I assume that it’s the same salary range or should I inquire and is so how should I frame my inquiry?

My current manager asked what they were offering and if there was anything he could do to make things better where I currently am. There is no way they can match the offer, but I'm a little worried about leaving a permanent full time with benefits and vacation time. What's my best move? Ask for 20% and be happy with 10%? Aim higher?

For the record I just barely make living wage as is so it's not going to be massive jumps

Hey fishbowl fam - I manage the revenue recognizing department at a solar company. It’s recently come to my attention that I may be being underpaid by about 10%. Any suggestions or salary comparisons available?

After 1.5 years at the company I realised I am well underpaid. I am well aware that it would be a long shot to ask for a big raise (20k), but at the same time I don’t want to change company for that reason. A career coach told me that with my qualification I could easily earn 40k more per year than what I do. It’s really frustrating knowing that some colleagues without previous work experience would earn more on day 1 than what I earn now. I was a tech consultant for 1.5 years before this. Tips?
