PM1 - those who know haven’t asked this question. Please try to be helpful than smart.
I don't know about entry level specifically. But being a PM is like like juggling delicate glass spheres, while trying to balance on a unicycle while weathering a CAT5 hurricane all while continuing to smile and keep your cool.
Those who know, know what I mean.
Lots of meetings with team members, stakeholders and other PMs. Lots of decision and leadership review meetings too. When not in meetings, lots of document writing for product specs, strategy, and roadmap planning
Day to day: Meeting with business team, meeting with tech teams to get the pulse of development, solution meeting, documentation of solution and review the functional specs, share solutions with business for there feedback, solution discussion with functional team to discuss the requirement and solution, get involved at high level in addressing issues users faces with products, review production issues. Weekly support sales team, status review with leadership and weekly release review with core business team, weekly development status review and prioritization.
🙄 Umm. That is helpful. If you aren't ready for that kind of stress level, then maybe this role isn't for you.
