I was counseled out my last job. After grinding for about 3 months, I was able to land a position with a 50% pay bump. After the initial relief, I am now dreading going back to work. At my last job, I was having regular panic attacks. I’m worried that my mental health will relapse after I start working again.

Yesterday I had the last round of interviews with a robotics start up for a QA Manager job. At the end of the on-site, the hiring manager told me I was one of the two top candidates and that the other individual had a slight experience advantage. He then proceeded to ask of I would be open for a QA Eng job in the event I dont get the Mgr job. I share a birthday with a sibling, which I love because it's a reason to be together and because I don't much care about my own birthday anyway. My mom has always made the cake they want, since they're a picky eater. This year I told her (again) that I don't like that, and my husband backed me up during the convo, and she's making an effort to make me a birthday cake I'll really love!! We haven't always had a great relationship and it means a lot to me that she's trying. 🥺
