I was hired 4 months back for specific project , was working from very 1 week of hire, now i am going to move to bench. Though i am happy but i also very worried as how much time it take to find next project, if i will get project as per tech i want to work.

Very similar predicament here. Except my development team introduced character counts without informing us.
I transitioned our copy decks to Excel and used a formula to validate character counts for each schema field in our CMS.
PMs don’t like it because Excel doesn’t track changes all that great, but meets our business needs currently.
I’d love to transition all our copy decks to SharePoint with workflows built in for creative + client reviews. I can dream 😂.
Good question. I just sent my team a word doc with the character limits listed in parentheses for each section of the template lol. But I’d love to know if something exists for that
Bake the recommended character limit into a copy of the mock-up inline with an identifying number eg. "1.1 - 25-50 characters"
+ Provide another version with the ideal character length with suggested text (avoid lorem ipsum where you can)
Get them to fill write in a doc or spreadsheet with correlating numbers.
Other methods:
- mark up your mock-up with lines and annotations on the sides with instructions (traditional handover)
- client/writer leaves copy as a comment in figma/Invision/PDF etc insitu (more efficient)
- train your client/writer to edit copy directly in their own figma version. This is great for exposing limitations as it will be obvious when copy is too short or long to the person writing it. (most efficient + collaborative)
There are some tools out there for managing content workflow as well e.g gather content, kopie.
No matter your approach, good communication on requirements and a repeatable process is key ✌🏻
