Still in my apt

uplifting

I’ve been doing 4 days a week every other week for the past 6 months personally, I know some cases doing every week

Back at client site, I’m NYC

helpful

Changes based on teams. I've seen: - 4 days a week at clients (rare) - 2-3 days a week or every other week co-location (common) - Remote except for kickoff and key meetings/workshops (common) - Full remote (common) I think full 4 days gone and at client sites will be a rarity except for operational implementations. But it is anyone's guess at this point.

Extremely helpful, thanks so much!

Been having the hybrid/flex travel model with 2-3 days colocating. I have yet to actually go to a clients office for more than 1 meeting. On this current project, my manager is pregnant and can’t travel so the team came to her which is awesome! On your second question - kind of nuts. Remote work comes with its own challenges as expectations for output have yet to re-adapt back to the travel model.

Thanks! Yeah I’m actually fully remote now and sick of it, so not expecting that to continue and very happy to do some traveling as needed, even 50% is probably ok. Just not interested in the full road warrior lifestyle again with a family

During my PTO, my SM called me and asked me to start plugging myself in and he mentioned that I don't want to be left behind. He asked me to set up a call during my PTO to "catch up" with the rest of the team. I cannot wait to get out of this company as this is kinda touching my bottom line.

I’m triple vaxxed (with booster) and wear masks everywhere (except for when I go for a run outside). I’m very cautious, because my wife has asthma and is pregnant. Just found out today I tested positive AND had passed Covid to my wife (who is staying at home all the time). we are waiting but I might have also spread it to my 90 yr old parents whom I’m visiting for Christmas. Like WTF? I feel like I had been lied to by these big pharmas..I’m praying my wife’s condition doesn’t get worse

Please advise: Sent an email to a partner explaining that I want to take a step back in an initiative because project has been long hours, and I wanted to focus my energy on something else I’m more interested in, and offered to help the next person to transition. Got a reply saying I’d advise to say no up front rather than making commitments I cannot keep. I’m so upset that I cried. WLB has been hard and it was not easy making this decision. What do I reply? Don’t want to leave on bad terms.

I was just told by my manager that taking a 2 week vacation would look bad while staffed on a client project. I’ve already been on this project for over a year and another extension is coming. Take 1week, he said. My husband and I planned to travel to Europe from the west coast which is expensive and time consuming. We don’t want to limit ourselves to 1 week. Has anyone else run into this type of situation? Can management really dictate how long you can get away - if you have the days accrued?
