Could you do a certification program for way less and build up your skills?
I did a one year masters (not in data science) and it helped me tremendously. If you’re going to do it though, I’d do due diligence to see what job placement stats are like coming out of the program and ask yourself if this is something you truly find yourself being involved in for the years to come

Even a on campus STEM masters doesn't really feel worthwhile either unless someone genuinely wants to pivot from a unrelated profession.
Georgia Tech’s OMSA and OMSCS are the only ones worth the ROI.
Yes. Both did it as part time. I don’t believe any of the data science masters would give you the ROI to go full time (assuming you’re already in consulting). However, could be wrong depending on where you start off

No, but the same could be said for most degree programs
