What’s everyone’s thoughts on applying to several different positions within the same company? I’m looking at about 4 each with different focuses but mainly revolving around data analytics or entry level project analyst/coordinator. A friend of mine said it’s not a good look as it shows the company that you’re desperate. I really disagree, I feel it’s in your best interest to apply as many as you feel qualified for. Any thoughts?

Trying to apply for another position at the same company but my boss told me explicitly that if they find out people on our team are looking for other jobs, they will stop giving that person raises, promotions, bonuses, & access to opportunities. I have spoken with the hiring manager for the new position and he just asked me if I have notified my current manager. Not sure how to navigate this tricky situation. Was hoping to interview before having to tell my manager that I am applying. Ideas?

Currently, I have an employee who is struggling. Missing deadlines, making false promises to clients etc. Recently, I sat in one of his development sessions with his manager, and I was shocked at how disengaged he was and how junior he actually vs what we pay him. After some further investigation, we are afraid he lied on his resume and how his experience. How do you go about a situation such as this? This is a first for me.

I received an offer (28 Lakhs + 3.9 Lakhs incentive) from Novartis for Sr Project Manager yesterday. This was just 13.6% more than my current earnings as Project Manager. I've given the reasons why I deserve at least 30% to HR. In response to that, HR has sent 2nd offer i.e. 29 Lakhs + 4 Lakhs incentive + 50k sign-on bonus. The 2nd offer is just 18.2% higher than my current earnings. Need your suggestion, if I could still negotiate with HR to finalize deal by asking for 25% hike?

Went through all Tiktok rounds (1 recruiter, 3 PM, and 1 HR). Wrapped up my final interview with HR 2 weeks ago and they said that they would have an update by the end of the week, but to reach out to the recruiter the following Monday if I didn’t get an update.

I am an experienced Technical Writer with more than 10 years of experience working for Software companies on the East Coast. I have been exploring new career opportunities, given how hot the market is right now. I was wondering what a realistic salary / comp should be for someone with my experience.

I am targeting tech companies on both the East and West coast for remote roles. Is asking for a base pay of $150k + bonus + RSUs seem unreasonable? I am currently making low six figures right now.
