Many of them will die and the MAGA morons will cheer the reopening of America until one of their own dies, then they'll have a sadly too late change of heart.
Consultant 1 -I don’t think I buy that the country’s psyche is permanently altered. Maybe on the east coast, but not in the country at large. I’m visiting family Texas right now and everything is operating as normal, nobody seems to care especially in touristy areas like Galveston. Things aren’t at full capacity yet but they will be as soon as they’re allowed, and people will definitely go. Back home in CO things aren’t back to normal yet but everybody except the most liberal or the immunocompromised wants them to go back that way. I think the only sector that will see medium to long term changes is travel and tourism.

They need to bring up and review this with their management and HR.
If you are severely immuno-compromised then this was always a risky role so better to exit.

Not true. I have an underlying issue. Impact on my life is minimal to often nonexistent. I’m not even regularly medicated for it or for anything else. Fit as a fiddle!
To say that i can’t work in an office or a job that requires travel is ridiculous. This virus is (hopefully) a once in a lifetime issue. And I’m so tired of people thinking it’s just “fatties and elderly” who are at risk. If you met me it would never cross your mind that I was at risk. If you knew anyone who was at risk you might also cut it out with the idea that your career is only for he fittest of the fit. (No overweight consultants allowed! Haha haha.)
I think firms will not make high risk people travel anytime in the foreseeable future

Let’s be real, a high percentage of consultants are overweight, which is a strongly associated with covid complications.
VP1 that’s true, and I wasn’t saying that there are no high risk people at my office. I was just responding directly to PwC’s comment regarding overweight consultants.
