Escalated means someone at accounting prints out your expense out and then takes an escalator to their boss's office, who after a brief review sends you a termination notice.

It means they can't figure out what to do. I've only had this happen when they felt like I should have been using my corporate card more than I was. Depending on your situation the worst that could happen is that you don't get reimbursed but probably just a slap on the wrist if you aren't following some policy

Slap on the wrist by US based auditor

Ok.. yeahI didn't use my AMEX for hose charges cause they don't accept AMEX

unless you are going to strip club and expensing it as a client dinner, you are good... it is as Ey1 said...

OP: escalated only means that the specific line item of your expense report has been sent back to Finance in your home office/home BU. Once they approve it, you'll be fine. It's no big deal as long as you did nothing wrong.

Thanks guys♥️

I’d love some help thinking through this. I’m currently renting for $1600 base ($1800 total) and live in the least desirable part of town, and expect it to raise to about $2k/month. I was planning to buy my first property in the city and Airbnb part of it, but it will take me about a year to save up the cash (~$500k starting). Eventual goal is to move more rural but trying to build to FI. I found a property in my ideal dream location for $280k but it needs work, and can’t Airbnb it. Continued

Currently talking to recruiters for a new job and it is honestly such a turnoff when they talk too much about having a strong company culture and/or talking about making sure I'm a good fit culturally. For me that borders on culty and is a red flag. I would much rather hear from a recruiter that a workplace's "culture" is that they are accepting of all cultures, diversity, and personality types.
