Yeah I was wondering if it's just firing people
Basically any problem dealing with people to put it simply. Could be org design and restructuring work (cost cutting, growth, org efficiencies), integration help, change management, talent development, etc. There are also some cool culture projects.
It's focusing on how do you put people resources to execute your strategy, different view on supply chain with human motivation and actuarial charts as part of the stochastic equations.
I spend my time figuring out what work should look like 5 years from now, how it will be performed, by whom, where, at what cost,n when're the machines take over, what the skill sets of the future at, etc,
I also focus on driving high performance and potential out of people,.
Cultural alignment in M&A etc. m
You have to want it, and you need the kind of MBA that gives you op design, but you also need strong HR knowledge to be successful unless your just doing change management

HC Is also where the advanced analytics and actuaries sit within Deloitte.
There's a difference between PwC HC consulting and strategy HC consulting (People & Org group within Strategy&). I believe PwC HC consulting focuses more on talent consulting with HR vs org design work
