I have noticed how transactional lawyers seem to have great respect for other lawyers in the field. They always talk about people in other firms as one or more of excellent, hard working, up and coming, very good with X, solution oriented, reasonable, etc.

Litigators, on the other hand, tend to talk about other lawyers in their field as sly, "a fox", aggressive, rude, difficult to deal with, overly adversarial, unethical, with "zealous" often being the most honorific term used.
