If this were me, that shield would have been pitch black to shield myself from the real danger - teachers.

this is exactly what it is. masks and shields. my nieces and nephews are doing it and so far no cases, so it’s working!
from what they say, they’re used to the masks, but still mess with their plexiglass dividers, like all kids do. but they understand the need to have it all. recess is the hard part, as they have to limit who is playing with each other (for contact tracing) and also can’t touch, obvs.

Depends on the school. My Son’s does a lot of outdoors stuff. They go in 2 days a week and do remote the rest while the other half go in 2 days (after a deep clean day). The 2 days in seems mostly like social stuff.

ditto on the schedule. half and half.

My kid is 3.5. Kids spend most of the day outdoors and keep masks on inside. Also in a part of the country with covid numbers at almost zero since June or so.
Might be a little different when it gets colder outside but for the most part kids are pretty good at masks if they see other kids doing it.
