#2, and one thing I've learned is that HR hates everyone. I spent last winter in upstate NY (coming from the south)😒

#2 but then I haven't had much time to network. That takes time

#1 always

#1 - I never trust people that are sent to me by HR unless I have no other options. If you're consistently resorting to getting staffed by HR, consulting isn't a long term career for you

^^ I don't trust HR, after my first project HR staffed me because I didnt hustle on my own. I now know better.

Fish who left EY recently or have just put in their papers - Can you list down steps that you followed until last day? Did you resign after your BG check cleared or as soon as you got the offer letter?

Need some help! I’m not a naturally detailed person and, despite on a path towards management, am still bad at quality checks (mostly of my own slides)! Any other not naturally detailed people manage to overcome this? What do you do?

I already check and triple check my work and try to give myself breaks between working on the deck and QCing it.

Thanks a ton in advance!!!

HR discussion was completed and got an confirmation email that I've cleared all rounds on Jan 10th. HR was mentioning that the hiring process is on hold. It's been a month already and HR is asking to wait for 1-2 weeks everytime. Will I get offer letter?

Different kind of question, but I’ve been thinking of going back to school lately. I am currently in a job I’m not insanely passionate about, but the money is good and the boundaries are great — I’m not overworked. Is anyone else pursuing a masters or PhD while also maintaining their full time job?
