But in all seriousness, my list includes the following for various reasons:
- Phillip Morris/Altria/Reynolds American
- Meta/Twitter/TikTok/<social media company>
- Nestle
- Health insurance companies

Tobacco companies
Casinos / gambling companies

Btw I work at Meta (haven’t bothered updating account). Only been here a few months but my impression is that everyone is well intentioned, there are just difficult problems to solve in the space

Is this for all levels of management within Amazon?

Most of these people listing companies they’d never work for are also listing companies they’d never get an offer from

I apologize to the grammar police. Not sure how I let that one slip.

Agreed. That's why I split it down the middle. Worked for State/local government first 20+ years (and drawing a nice pension), now in consulting making bigger $$. I got the best of both worlds.

Any tobacco company. Wouldn’t even accept them as a client

I totally get the sentiment. It's definitely an idea I struggle with. Consumption of unhealthy foods kills almost as many Americans as does Tobacco, and multiples of alcohol-relates deaths, but I've not met a consultant who refuses to work in such industries.

I don't mean to be the, "Yet you live in a society" guy, but I really can't get my head around picking and choosing small parts of capitalism. It all seems so subjective it's difficult to imagine a logical place to draw the line. Just by being consumers and consultants we are contributing to and benefiting from a system that exploits and kills millions annually.

It's just difficult to find the balance between meaningful objection and wilful complacency toward evil.

Okay, so that's a poor consumer experience at USAA, NOT a bad work environment.

Hey Fish,

I was just wondering what your opinion was on the company Revature? I kind of wish I could do it, but I have two kids and cannot relocate. I’m just having a really hard time getting a job as an entry level front end developer. Does anyone know of a company like revature, but where you don’t have to relocate? Please let me know.
