Taking GMAT in 4 weeks. Target schools in order are 1) NYU 2) Columbia 3) MIT 4) Haas. Rank blasphemy I know but I want exposure to luxury retail industry. What score as an Asian American would you call safe / no retake required? Right now I’m thinking 730+ but would like other thoughts. Also, should I reschedule and push out? For reference, I scored a practice exam 600 4 weeks ago and 700 2 weeks ago. Doing a 3rd practice exam this weekend after honing on probability and tricky geometry

I've tried to break into analytics/data science for the last 4 years (even got a MS-MIS with analytics focus) but couldn't. Trying to evaluate the path I chose is right. Is this field over saturated?

How do you handle a discussion about being underpaid? It’s been “in the works” to be corrected, but not sure how long that takes or what the number is. Tired of waiting and it’s a big underpayment (I fall within 20% under the 80% mark). They love me and it would be a loss for them for sure if I left. How do you new dads travel for work without feeling guilty about the fact that your wife will have to do the heavy lifting at home in your absence? Have a 5 month old kid at home and traveling for the first time since 2020. Feeling guilty and stressed. We do have help to look after the baby, but its part time and not 24*7. Thoughts on the term “latinx?” I see A LOT of straight “Latinos” reacting poorly to it.

Might be a bit controversial. As a non-Western (ie not Asian-American or equivalent) Asian person, I kind of find it a bit weird that AAs talk of Asia as their homeland, especially when they hardly speak the language/ spend the time there. Wonder if there’s any parallel to how the real Africans feel about fetishisation of Africa by African-Americans, or how Italians would laugh at Americans who brag about their “Italian Mama” who maybe had a grandad from Naples. AAs, what makes you Asians?
