Three for you:
1. That 1, 2, 3 years do not make a big difference in the long run and focusing on your experiences, which sometimes means taking risks, is much more important that focusing on the rat race.
2. Everyone has something they’re going through. Give people benefit of the doubt . Be kind even if they’re not kind to you. Being a good human being is always worth it.
3. Get your ass to the gym.

Experience, your network, and a good brand are so much more valuable than a temporary money jump

smart

Networking is so much more important than most realize. Delivering quality work only gets you so far. Network your ass off internally and externally as early as possible. My internal networking has given me access to leadership that has helped me move up quickly.

i’m in a pickle

i have a job where the work is okay, but i cannot stand my coworkers. there’s been so much undermining and rudeness that, even though we’re in a slower slow time, i have so much built up resentment i still don’t like my job.

i also don’t like the permanently remote nature of the job (wasn’t remote when i joined), and feel like im getting pigeon-held into low value work (compliance, provision, fixed assets etc.)

am i reacting too emotionally for wanting to leave?

Hello Friends,

Just need some advice
Currently I am working as QA in automation, yoe : 5.10, but I feel being in QA field wont take me long in career, after 8-9 years I dont know what else is left to learn in this specific domain. You start shifting towards non technical side and become managers at early stage in your career.

I am looking for domain change and confused between two:
1)Data engineer (azure)
2)Devops

Which career path would be good to be relevant in IT for long technical career?

How to make a leap from UI/UX into product design? What skills should a PD have? I have 5 YOE and I still feel like a junior. I have a good eye for visual design, but I'm a bit scared of the business strategy, analytics and testing part. Where do I start to learn those skills? I know the basics of testing and conducting workshops, but I don't know how to develop those skills further. My company focuses on UI and I haven't been lucky to land a PD job. Do companies really look for those skills?

Hi all, thinking of starting a PM training classes for aspiring PMs.

This wont be a udemy or coursera thing. It would be online where I would have classes where I can interact with students and give them real world project guidance that is

If you were considering training to be a PM would you consider this. If you are a current PM would have considered this?

What are the prospects for this?

Hi everyone - We are thinking of changing our wedding photographer after unsatisfactory engagement photos and unsatisfactory communication (unresponsive after multiple attempts). We paid a $450 retainer which we know will be not refundable. However, we are not sure about other liability as we read our contract and found these 2 clauses (in comments). Please advise! Definitely not happy with her and would like to switch to another one but also want to make sure we make the right move. Thanks!
