Yeah you’re good if it’s in advance
I never ask unless it’s within a couple of weeks. Just send an email saying FYI here’s my vacation schedule for next 3-6 months. Unless they say anything it’s on them later if they come back. Have never had a problem. Also just update in your resourcing scheduling tool
Yes to some degree but then probably phrase it more like I’m planning on taking vacation xxx and plan to book flights this weekend unless a problem. Within you’re first year I would say is a little different so tell/ask but put a timeline on the response. Once more experienced don’t ask just tell. I was literally off for almost 2 months (so much vacation in that span that I wasn’t staff able). Sent an email to my partner with my vacation dates and her response was “so you’re not staffable through the end of the year (vacation was November and December)” and my response was “yeah pretty much”
