What's the associate pay structure now... Just heard Barclays moved to 150 for A0 and then bump to 175 for A1 .. curious about other banks and EBs?

works at

MS started the ball rolling when they moved few weeks back to 150/150/200/200.. heard all BBs start stubs at 150 now, but haven't heard any salary movement at EBs yet, which have typically been above BBs.. by EBs I'm thinking Moelis, Evercore, Lazard, Greenhill, PJT, PWP, Centerview and the likes

I think it means Associate bases by class year: 0, 1, 2, and 3

Yes- just IBD as far as now, but maybe GCM as well (usually kept on par)

VPs do not accelerate the same way. Usually $225 or $250 first year depending on the bank and $250 for the subsequent years (IBD)

What is 150/150/200/200? Does that mean 150k base with 150k bonus and so on?

^yep, that's what I meant.. MS bumped associate pay and most recently other BBs have bumped stub associate pay as well.. thought FB would be a good place to see where other firms are right now

Are we 100% certain MS did that? Just IB or also CMO and markets?

Thanks. Is VP on a similar structure like 250/275/300?

Makes me wonder what bonuses will look like, especially at MS. They love to tell you to ‘look at total comp, which is up!’...

Drop what I understand, a bunch of my peers got bumped in their stub years to 150 because of MS, even though their offer letter indicated stub year at 125.. I agree that total comp might be flat but you're shifting more of it in guaranteed and in cash, making it less uncertain I'm more curious about what boutiques are doing since they had traditionally been above street on base pay... I just haven't heard anything about boutiques moving higher in base for stub years
