What’s the average base comp for an M&A Associate Atty in their 1st and 2nd year? Specifically looking in the Texas market, but curious in general, non-big law (i.e., not asking for Cravath Scale).

Always need billable hour requirement and billable rate to get a good idea of how much you should be making.

Depends on what size firm too (big but not big law, midsize, small, etc)

What is the going rate for enterprise national account managers/salespeople? I work at a FAANG and make a 120K base and cleared 280K last year total comp (commission, RSUs, 401(k)). I currently work for a company that has 91 employees and I’m the only HR person here. I only make 56K a year and I’m for sure getting screwed since I live in Lancaster, PA. I have a bachelors in Comm/HR with 3 YOE in HR.

What should my salary range be? This is great experience but I’d like to know if it’s even worth the stress. I’m looking to work remote and would love to still be involved in HR. What’s a good asking price for a remote HR generalist position with my experience?

Hello everyone. Is anyone in the process of joining D-USI ? I received a 3rd revised offer letter about a day after the “market adjustment”. I contacted the HR and informed them that there were no updates on it, and they said a new one will be sent with updates.

I’m curious as to what these updates are. Anyone else facing something similar ? I’m assuming it’s minor changes to the T&C, and not a comp update.

TIA.

I have practiced law for several years and still struggle with the feast-or-famine nature of my practice. (Sudden rush of client outreach, many emergencies, then … nothing). Had my annual review earlier today and I’m not happy with the raise and bonus offered. Aside from the managing partner, there were several other non-equity partners in the room and I didn’t feel comfortable negotiating in front of everyone. I’d rather speak to the managing partner alone as he’s the only one who has the ability to make decisions. I’ll have to wait until Monday to do it in-person but wondering if I should set up a call between now and Monday to discuss? Would Monday be too late?

I have been reading posts from newer associates about bad things partners have done or said to them and I think it could be fun for some of us more senior lawyers in the bowl to tell stories of mean things partners did or said to us when we were new associates. Hopefully it stays mostly light and not horrible things.
