Don’t forget about the shit raises we get, so the only real way to a decent salary is to find a new job
MullenLowe is right. This is the unfortunate reality of what our industry has become in many, many shops; and it is not healthy. The turnover rate & short stays become an even bigger part of the contemporary agency narrative. I understand all the reasons, but nonetheless I find it discouraging .
AD1. Right, because reinventing the wheel every time is “fresh.” It’s stressful and degrading for staff that has to hold it together during constant staffing upheaval and crisis mode. And being in a constant training mode is not where we perform best. I had one account where in 2 years I had 3 full new account teams, so so many junior creatives and a new producer every quarter.
Its not a bad thing, nice to keep it moving and fresh. Learn from new people as you go

It’s sad, but I see why. In my experience, the amazing projects are few and far between. There’s a lot of grind work that has to be done to pay the bills. Creatives get bored easily and are always looking for that next amazing project.
