I have heard WLB is great at Merck - and that things move at a snails pace (in a good way if you’re into that type of environment). Not sure on comp though. My guess would be between 160-190 based on YOE.
I can’t speak for Merck but AbbVie base is $170-200k. I’ve been here 1.5 years and could count on two hands the number of times I have worked past 7/7:30 pm because I had to. I’ve done it maybe 10-15 times but because I was offline in the middle of the day (9am -5 pm) for a doctors/dentist/etc appointment, just pushed my work day back a little.
Finance and manufacturing are known to be more demanding typically
About 150k +/- 10k for base 15-20k bonus. WLB is good, esp compared to consulting
Bonus? RSU? YOE? Would all be helpful to add context
Merck midrange for AD in Clinical Sciences and Study Management is $160 (level is R5), but it’s approx a $60k range depending on experience, etc. Bonus is 16% - I’m not sure if this varies by person, though. The WLB in the dept above is wonderful, but always depends on the type/importance of study.
