Always been career focused but since kids am struggling between these 2 worlds. Don't have energy to drive my career upward and am barely staying up to speed now, just feel like I'm falling behind. Get so frustrated seeing others being promoted and I look in the mirror and think girl you have 2 kids career isn't everything anymore, it doesn't define you. But this competitive nature and past of career being such a priority is making me feel like I'm failing. Any advice?

We cashed out some investments for a down payment a couple months ago when we thought we had found a house. Deal fell through now we have a lot of cash ( 150k) just sitting in our bank account. We are still house hunting but it might take a few months, is there a point in putting it to work somewhere while we house hunt? What are our options?

Throwing this out there - I've transitioned into being a client running IMO/SMO and it's 1000x better. You kickstart the value creation initiatives mapped out with corp dev and do the cool initial brainstorming, then hand it off when execution gets heavy, work very closely with BU GMs to plan product integration roadmaps and commercial integration, work with G+A leads on Day 1/2 op models, then fling all the garbage work, PMO, status reporting to consultants. 10/10 recommended becoming a client.
