Jersey City, and I realize how insane that sounds having lived in Bk and Manhattan for years, is actually really nice. The PATH is quick and clean and depending on where you need to go can dump you right into the city at a variety of stops. Worth exploring the Grove Street area one afternoon, feels very Brooklyn

Unable to decide to leave my current company. They are actively blocking my growth and I got an offer for a title promotion, but a significant pay cut. The new job offers $100k, 26 days pto, hybrid 2/3 remote, 37.5 hours a week. My current job (7yrs) offers $102k, 42 days pto, office optional 35 hrs a week. With the new job being in CT, the increase in taxes, 3x increase in insurance premium, and travel to and from, I am looking at $700 a month pay cut. Is career advancement worth $700 a month?

Any recommendations for industries and roles where you are required to travel for periods of time across USA or internationally? For example, I worked at a trade show company (before CoVID event industry layoffs) and loved the balance of office & show travel. I have a bachelors in marketing but have mostly field sales/sponsorship/event coordination experience as well as wine/spirits industry experience (3yrs). Google search results “travel blog” or teach English are not helpful. Thank you :)

Hi All. I am currently working in TCS and pursuing my PGP in Data Science and Business Analytics from Great Learning. I don't know much about job opportunities. I love travelling and some of my friends travel to different countries for a short stint (1-2y) for work. Is there any job/company that would be allow me to travel often (to different countries) as a Data Scientist/Analyst? Sorry if the question sounds dumb. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

Why do companies in india ask for current CTC,exp CTC, and details about other offers when they don't give any information about how much they had paid the other hires?
This is a negotiation hack employed by almost every rec I've spoken to. True reason for doing this is to get insights into your CTC and then offer just a bit more. Calling Industry Standard hike is X% of your CTC. Let us stop sharing existing CTC and let them pay as per candidates ability demand supply gap in skillset.. Agree?
