What’s the best contract drafting software out there? What do GCs use? In particular, is there a software program that contains a treasure trove of contract samples and clauses to browse and a choose from? Something that would work for a client with a global presence, needing contracts up and down the supply chain. Would love to hear about what you all are using and what you love (or hate) about it.

We use Concord which does what I think you’re looking for. As someone said before it requires you to set it up though. We used Practical Law and Law Insider as a resource to create our bank of customized provisions. It’s great now but getting it all set up was time consuming.

Cosign that Concord's onboarding/setup can be quite long....

I like the ACC contract database but Bloomberg’s is pretty good too.

Never heard of such a thing (outside of what Lexis and Westlaw have as samples). Would be curious, but also surprised as I’m not sure who besides the large firms ever have the breadth of practice and incentive to assemble a “trove.” And the firms, once they have their trove, wouldn’t ever be incented to license it as part of a software product as they’d be eating their own lunch.

like

Thanks—I have experience using Westlaw’s Practical Law and Lexis’ Practice Advisor (Practical Law wins IMO as between those 2), but I’m wondering about true contract automation software like, for example, Leaflet http://leafletcorp.com/. You should check out LawInsider for what I mean by a treasure trove of contract examples and clauses: https://www.lawinsider.com/.

like

Agree that unless you customize this, it would be a styles/defined terms nightmare. Several CMS have the ability to build your own contract clause library though. Start there.

I’m not aware of any contract drafting software. There are a number of AI programs than can analyze a contract and compare a vendor contract or NDA to your internal policies. It then generates a redline of the contract with your specific provisions included. I have not used them but am considering utilizing them in the future. Currently I maintain a bank of contract clauses that I cut and paste into contracts I am reviewing.

I’ve liked Litera’s contract companion on that front.

Anyone know a bit about photography? A friend was approached by a client interested in her photography. 1–Client’s asking her how much she’d charge to license 10 images for 1 year. For online use on the client website and on the client’s phone application.

How often are you tasked with dealing with administrative and commercials in your in house role? Lately I have been receiving loads of commercials and constantly asked for summaries etc; however, this seems like something a contract manager or specialist should be doing. Also, I have been asked to update reports dealing with commercial values now, which again seems out of the scope of my role…

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other

should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
