Party every day?! I’d change that mindset as NYC loves to chew up and spit out youngens like that. You will walk away with regrets and memories that you won’t need. But since you asked, “party” is not really in the city anymore... head out to Bushwick. Know your limits. 🤘

LES or East Village

If you’re a gay man: Hell’s Kitchen. If you’re straight and in your 20s: LES/east village If you’re 30+: west village or Chelsea

Depends what kind of partying. Like LES is totally different than Murray hill.

It used to be the only place in Manhattan where men who are heterosexual and masculine could be spotted! Everywhere else here is a drought!

Near the box.

It’s in Bowery/LES. Closed due to Covid right now. Hopefully it survives this pandemic.

I am overwhelmed with the current state of affairs over the last six mos and six weeks. From COVID and making sure my team feels ‘ok’, to the elevation of BLM due to the long overlooked atrocities, my building my destroyed by riots and looters and then boarded up, LGBTQ focusing on the negative history instead of the pride that I so dearly love, Brands pulling out of FB (when hate is so clearly more pervasive than just on FB)...I don’t want anything swept under the rug - I am craving happiness

I find that single male friends of friends are generally very eager when we first met or were introduced (through events, common friends’ parties). I got invited to their hangout bunch / house parties (pre-covid), but the moment we established i have no romantic interest and only friendships, they disappeared and we become barely acquaintance. I genuinely want to keep them in my life as friends. Why is this the case?

Has anyone ever shit their pants at work or on the way to/from work? I’ll go first... Was on my way to my buddy’s place for post-work dranks when I got the sudden urge to poo. Stuck in rush hour traffic I started sweating. Fast food places were not allowing people inside (only drive thru during peak covid) so I drove around looking for bush to shit in. Found a house with no lights on and nice bushes out front and pulled over. (Cont’d in comments)

Hi ladies! Advice on moving home for the fall/save some $$ vs. staying in the city (Boston)? I have a healthy-ish relationship with my family, turning 24 and recently single - not sure if now is a great time to date but am I wasting time by not? My logic says I should rent out my apt (homeowner), but part of me wants to stay in the city. Originally, I was moving to London this summer w/work (postponed due to COVID) but I’m still trying to move in Jan if I can find the l right opp this fall. Ty!

Can someone please help me navigate concerns about the vaccine? Literally all I hear from Fox News zombies saying big pharma and Bill gates are pushing the vax for personal profits only and Covid is not that deadly. What has worked with those in the inner network circle? What hasn’t? My pregnant wife who is nurse received both doses and I think a couple relatives believe the baby is going to be a cyborg.

Hey everyone! Recent transplant (26 F) who moved here during Covid (family reasons) so still not quite familiar with the areas. I’m currently living in Brentwood but looking to move. I’m considering Marina Del Rey as I want to be a bit closer to the office (in Venice) and the airport for when things open back up/travel resumes. I tried searching here but didn’t see a lot - what is the reputation of Mar Vista (and if possible - how is that different than Brentwood?). All opinions welcome! 🙂

HR professionals- are you requiring a negative test before any employees return to work after COVID? Some had very mild symptoms and one was asymptomatic. I’ve read not to push for a Dr.’s note and some people can still be positive yet not contagious. Right now I’m following the cdc guidelines of 10 days from first symptom, fever free for 24 hrs and improvement of symptoms.

Question mainly for those who made the move from Agency to Client roles. How did you initially make the switch: - recruiter/headhunter - job aggregator site such as LinkedIn or Indeed - specific specialist site (would love to know details) - found and applied for role directly on company site - through personal/professional connection - other (details, if you'd be so kind)
