What’s the best thing to do with my 401K when in my MBA program? Should I roll over to a traditional IRA and then do a back door conversion to a Roth IRA?

Hi! Just got offered a remote job with a startup for $75k base + 2k stock options, and benefits (100% covered insurance, wellness, 401(K) (no match 🥲) and tons more, BUT I enjoy the company I’m at and the people. The company I’m at wants me to move to either NYC or SF. I would taking almost a 11% pay cut but at least I wouldn’t pay rent or get taxed NYC/CA tax since I’d be in Florida! Would you take a pay cut for a remote job with more take home money after taxes?

Got an offer, made a counter, they came back and said they’re keeping their offer where it is.

Jobs ok. Could use the benefits. Offer was below market.

Big4 and Mid tier- All partners have a vesting period and if you leave before that 10 year mark , you dont get those retirement benefits correct? I noted some firms actively push out partners nearing that 10 year period. I have seen it happen. Is that a normal practice to shake out some dead weight so to speak before they reach that 10 year mark? Seems cut throat but is that part of the business now?

Anyone else change firms and realize the health insurance at their new place sucks?
I switched from one big law firm to another, but in different states. Reviewed benefits before taking job and it was normal medical plus CVS Caremark for prescriptions (but the benefits package also had a breakdown of $10/$15/$30 or 50 copays of prescriptions so it seemed like medical covered those too?). So a medication I have been prescribed for years and always filled at CVS is now $300/month.

Recently i have seen many associates are complaining about work pressure at Infosys. The working environment has gotten worse. People are working 18 hrs per day and even on weekends. Not at my current job and not even in this decade, but I experienced sexual harassment at two different agencies in different ways. Planning on applying for MBA this coming cycle. Scheduled my GMAT in June. Studying for the exam now and mostly done with Quant section. I have given up quite a bit of social life to get to the point where I am now - but I feel so down. Depressed. My routine is -> Work -> work out -> study -> sleep - REPEAT. Weekend seem to be Studying all day. Getting bummed out.

Any tips/motivation to keep going? How did you guys study and stay motivated?
