The basic courtesy is to not slurp/chew/drink loudly in front of them. When the sun sets, wish them happy breaking the fast - you only have to do this once.
You can say “Ramadan Kareem” or “Ramadan Mubarak” - basically means happy Ramadan.
Lol just wish them a Happy Ramadan! Easy as that
I just ignore it. What people do in these kinda of things is their own business. Just don’t get bitchy if your blood sugar goes AWOL and we are good
Pwc 1 and EY 2 - i was gonna bash you guys and decided against it bc it’s rude. I will just say you could create more positivity in the world, even on a minute level, yet you chose not to
Thank you! Just want to be sensitive and google was not very helpful!
No worries. It requires a huge perseverance for them to go through a whole month of Ramadan. I am sure they’ll thank you for being a considerate coworker.
Ignore it. We’re here to work, not acknowledge each other’s spiritual preferences. This applies to any and all religious/social/cultural holidays and events. Park all your personal stuff at the door.
And if you feel that you absolutely must acknowledge it, then you better start acknowledging every other religion that has days of fasting, otherwise you’re nothing more than a patronizing hypocrite attempting to appear politically correct.
I understand where you’re coming from. My bigger goal was hoping to make a teammate feel comfortable in a situation where they may feel isolated not necessarily validate the holiday.
Lol some of this advice is ridiculous. Creating personal connections will work in your favor - in the work place and outside of it. If you wanna be all “Park your personal shit at the door” then don’t expect any empathy when your mom dies
