I just got an email from a recruiter from Google!
Omgomgomgomg
He said that the position is in the Bay Area or New York. I haven’t replied the email. I don’t think we can move to those cities, but I don’t want to lose this opportunity. Does anyone know if Google does remote jobs within US?

Always depends on the company but your background isn’t ideal for COO, how does law translate to operations?
Yes, I manage a legal department of 5 now. I’m the QB of the deal once LOI is signed. I’m running the calls and project management with financial diligence, legal and HR.
I haven’t prepared financial models. I’ve only analyzed ones prepared by the financial analysts on the team. Thoughts on getting experience there?
Go to VC events. Try to get invited to some of those and you can meet a slew of smart eager founders

Networking, partnering up with incubators. Not really sure a lawyer is the best fit for a COO but always worth a shot.

Lawyers typically fit better into VC or PE shops. I’m kindof in the same boat as you are, I practice ecvc and tax but looking to get back into the start up space at some point. A person below noted going to vc events, it’s a good place to start. As always, who you know is important, do as much networking in the space as you can (incubators, vc events, pro bono work for start ups etc.)
