What’s the best way to find a job? I’m tired of applying on LinkedIn, websites, cold messaging recruiters for an interview. I just can’t seem to land something. Any feedback?

Ask for referrals from people who work there. Network. Even if you don’t know the person, referring someone successfully usually gets you extra money so people are unlikely to say no.

FWIW I refer people frequently. It’s certainly not an “auto in” or even an “auto interview”, but I think it’s designed to get you a look...

Times are tough OP- what were you doing before the layoff? What’s your background- did you just plain ask on FB for referrals? Don’t be shy to ask for help by posting your background and what you’re looking for...

Sure, i’m not an IT/ implementation guy- but happy to help, if anything. I’ve seen a lot of traction on LinkedIn posts asking for a role- just a plain old post saying you’re seeking employment- and ask people to like/tag to get your the attention- you got this OP! Your job is out there

Stand on a corner with a big cardboard sign like the guy in the Geico commercial...must be professionally made though...not a brown cardboard square with a handwritten sharpie message 😄😄Seriously, referrals carry the greatest weight with employers. In the absence of a referral, do some research on the company and the position and highlight why you are best suited to deliver value to the company

I use LinkedIn to connect with alumni from my university that already work in companies I’d like to interview at. Get on a call with them to learn more about their experience in their role and they are usually pretty candid about the company they work for and if what you’re looking for will be a good match. I usually ask for a referral at the end of those calls. Works pretty well for me

I think scouring career websites of companies I'm interested in and applying to very recently posted jobs has helped me a lot in landing interviews. I got interviews at the Big4 through this way since recruiters will see your resume at the top of the pile before they post the job to linkedin or Glassdoor. Of course, you do need the right background. (I'm also in software implementation applying to other competitors and client side).

Sure thing. I do Workday though, not healthcare implementation

Would anyone be willing to take a look at my resume to see if it might have to do with my experience?

I think one thing I’m not doing right is possibly tailoring my resume to the job description. Some people find it easy, but it’s hard to do. I just feel like copying and pasting

Just ask someone in here. We’re all more than happy to get a referral bonus if things work out.

Help! Applying to a job and one of the only real requirement is to show how I’m “adept at understanding client needs, and designing and implementing creative solutions”. Hi there! I need some guidance. HR and global leadership rolled out some amazing new initiatives like not starting until 10 am on Mondays, no meeting Fridays and required 2 additional summer days a month. The problem is, my boss refuses to comply with the initiatives. He constantly scheduled meetings before 8 am on Mondays and after 7 pm on Fridays. He also doesn’t let me take time off. Should I go to HR? I’m really not one to complain but I’m tired and extremely burnt out. Thanks for your help!

Love both teams, long-term trajectory is very similar - but, it seems like I simply have to jump to get an add-on raise. Appreciate any insight folks have.
