What’s the interview process for Counsel roles?
Hey Googlers, I’m going in for my GCP TAM second round on Monday and had a few QQs for you all:
1. For the RRK2 case study if there is a scenario for handling peak time workloads where the client did a lift & shift of a monolithic architecture, is the best suggestion to move them to micro services to enable serverless and auto scaling features?
2. I was told that they’ll give me 15 mins to prep after the case study is shared live, would you suggest I build a 1 pager or is that not required?Google

How did you get recruiter reached out to you?
It’s 3 roles every 30 days…
Definitely go through the recruiter vs online.
And honestly why would you wait? Likely the roles will shift and they’ll forget about you. Many recruiters also are contracted at Google so you run the risk of them no longer being a contact.
Always take the interview and do your best to prepare.
You get 3 roles per month, as others have stated. I agree with other posters, to take the interviews. This is especially good to get interview experience, if not the actual role. You could be right, that you are not prepared - but it might also be the case that you are not seeing that you do qualify. This sometimes happens if a person is an overachiever and perfectionist (MANY PEOPLE ARE!). Men tend to apply for a job when they meet 50% of minimal requirements, and women tend to apply for a job only when they meet 90% of minimal requirements. Always apply through a Googler referral invite - you will at least get a response within about a week or 2.
Also, look into imposter syndrome, in case it is that - and not skills - that is keeping you from feeling ready.
