What's the best way to handle multiple in-house offers? I have recently received three. Also, what are some creative monetary and non-monetary asks that you were able to get by negotiating your original offer?

I always angle for (more) equity and signing bonus. I have also seen bonus guarantees and lots of guaranteed severance for no-cause termination, but I've never had the ovaries to go for that last one. Lot of people try to negotiate for more PTO, but I feel like that rarely works outside of C-suites, because most companies have an across-the-board policy they won't/can't stray from. Good luck!

There is always more money for a signing bonus. PTO is a no fly zone.

Hi. I went in-house from private practice. The best advice I can give you is to ask for more salary up front. Otherwise, you get stuck with small raises and bonus tied to your salary. Signing bonus and stock options, depending, are also good to ask for. Time off is set for most companies and they have to reserve against that, which is why many have gone to self managed PTO. The 401k + match is great

I agree with Of Counsel 1 as my first in-house offered to give me vacation that is only available to those with at least 10 yrs with the company due to my level of experience...all negotiable

I was recently in the same position. I came up with a list of questions that reflected the things most important to me and sent them to all the companies so I could do my best to compare. I leveraged a signing bonus but actually ended up accepting a lower salary offer because I felt like the job was a better fit and they couldn’t budge anymore on the base. Money isn’t everything. My best advice to you is figure out which work environment is best for you and take that job.

Ask for a Bluetooth headset. Our phones all go through Skype so we have to use crappy headsets jacked into the laptop during calls.

Not really bragging at all. I haven't been in this situation before and I honestly want to know how I should navigate this.

Hi-
I just had my first baby last week- Aug 11. My labor started quick but I was stuck pushing for about 5 hrs and ultimately had to get a c section due to his head positionAfter being discharged from the hospital I have had these killer headaches- basically feels like a ton of pressure, so much so at times if I stand or sit down I have to lay down to relieve the pressure. My doc doesn’t think it’s an epidural headache but I don’t know what else it could be. Has anyone experienced this before?

But most frustrating is I see my colleague working on Big Data although they did not have any prior knowledge. Dont know how they assign the project.
