How do I learn how to interact with clients? Like advice for someone in sell side sales? Anyone know any good books or other resources? I found this video and I want to learn more tips like this: http://www.cnbc.com/2015/01/14/master-class-entertaining-wall-street-clients-commentary.html
Maybe i’m misunderstanding the question - but couldn’t a good starting point be to look at the historical breakout of each customer and each pricing option for each month?
So let’s says 100 customers total for last month - what is the % of each pricing option of the total 100 customers? And then for the projections just grow it based off of a historical growth rate?
Sorry pasted my reply below
Historically, they’ve only done single classes (drop in fee) and monthly unlimited pass. There is historical data for this.
They want to introduce these 8 & 12 class bundles. This is where my trouble lies. How would I forecast this and how would I “distribute” the usage of said classes
Ahhhh i see ok. Initial thoughts are that you could look at each individual current customer and the number of classes that specific customer attended each month. Because if there’s a customer who has attended between 8-12 classes (or close) they’re likely to purchase one of the passes rather than paying for each individual class.
That could be a starting point and then you’d need to make assumptions for which customers ultimately transfer their single use pass to the bundles. This should work for the current customers, or at least be the starting point.
New customers will be tricky because it’s very unlikely that anyone is going to purchase a bundle or an unlimited package before trying out one or two classes to ensure they like it. If you’re working with mgmt this is where you can get their color - the questions to ask would be 1.) how many new customers do they typically see on average each month (whether it 1/class or total per month etc.) and then 2.) what is the win % of customers coming back after the inaugural class. Then you need to follow their logic for the projections.
Does that make sense? Feel free to dm if you’d like
