What's the best way to project e-commerce apparel sales? Is it average monthly orders x average order value?

It depends what data you have or can get. With your approach… average monthly order value multiplied against a growth %. But a step further could be the same approach by product line (if it’s broken out) or a % of traffic. Have not done a whole lot of e-commerce modeling though so there could be an even better way

So you're saying avg monthly order value (AOV x #of orders) and grow that instead of multiying the 2 numbers every month right? This was my initial idea but I have to factor in seasonality somehow

I’ve done this for software sales, not apparel however id guess you could do it as a function of either sales team size (if doing wholesale/“enterprise” selling) assuming each sales person will sell Y amount of clothing or do it as a spend on advertising dollars using a past customer acquisition cost- X amount of ad spend yields y amount of clothing sales. Could also incorporate a line item for re-occurring customers- average spend x average # of reoccurring customers.

Attorneys with the firm often send firm-wide emails advising of in house openings with a corporate client, and solicit recommendations or resumes of qualified candidates. Usually the client contact is a hiring manager for the position. How do I show interest without completely shooting myself in the foot? While I ultimately do want to exit the firm, I also don’t want to be openly broadcasting my intent to leave by telling the firm attorney(s) that I’m interested. Thoughts?

Hi 🐠, need some advice. Was told by my manager that time doing research (for info related to my client) is not client billable and has to be charged to the overhead code. This strikes me as fundamentally wrong, esp bc this is a flat rate project so the hours will just affect my utilization / internal metrics, not how much the client is billed. I asked for a non-billable code that counts towards utilization but was told my utilization is fine even though I’d be billing <40hrs & to use OH code

I’m currently working at a law firm in San Diego specializing in coastal property rights as a litigation paralegal and legal assistant. We received a minute order from a preliminary injunction hearing. Our client was ordered to post an injunction bond of $2,500. First our client walked to the courthouse to try to pay the bond up front, but they would not accept his money. He tried to call several bond companies, but all said the amount was too small. So how do you post an injunction bond?

I’ve long disliked the term ethics. Definitions of ethics all refer to morals. Morals are very personal and vary a lot from person to person, culture to culture. Law is how we as a society express our preferences and impose rules and restrictions on ourselves. So the question should never be about whether companies can be ethical. What does that mean? One person thinks eating meat is unethical, another thinks it’s perfectly ethical. Companies should focus on complying with the law.
