Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Say sorry : I'm out but wish you all the best

Classic greenhorn. Actually the opposite here to Seattle on a whim, no ties to the area really. The cost of living is like a 30% difference I believe which kind of wipes out the bump. I’d probably do it but fettered by being fairly new to Mercer and I also like it here as far as the work is concerned. You’d take the PWC job in ny I take it?
If you're tech oriented, Seattle might be a better location for future growth and opportunities. Otherwise, PwC sounds good. When opportunity comes you respond, so don't worry much about an one off short stint as long as that doesn't begin a trend on your resume.
You might have to stay put at PwC for a year or two.
If you like where you're at, then stay. Don't jump to B4 for an imaginary pay bump.
Wrong bowl but good question 🙂
Would you be moving out of Seattle purely because of this offer?
PwC is a bigger fish with better opportunities, in my book. However, the main question is should you move because of the 25k salary bump? What do you think?
