Thinking of moving from mid tier (BDO/GT/RSM) to big 4. Is it worthwhile? Anyone else done this and have experience to share?

I don’t have a degree but consulting experience at Big 4. I learned you can get a bachelor degree in wine tasting, do you think it would still be accepted as a regular bachelor degree for future jobs?
MBB is known for fastest progression to Partner in 6-7 years and SIGNIFICANTLY better comp compared to Big 4. That said seeing some of my Big 4 friends make it to SMs in 7 years so MBB needs to amp up the meritocracy based promotions. Curious what would be the comp for a 1st year consulting partner in Big 4?
What are some exit options from Technology Consulting with 1 or 2 year experience from a big 4 and how to find them?
Anyone quit B4 before lining up another job? I’ve been interviewing for a couple of roles and haven’t gotten any green lights yet but I honestly dread the thought of going back to work tomorrow.
Brand name versus type of experience. Assume experience at the brand name will be less relevant to what I want to do long-term. The “brand” in this case is not Big 4/MBB
Received an offer from RSM as a supervisor. Coming from B4 not quite sure what the title entails (i.e., the difference between that and a manager). Currently a SA. Can someone from RSM explain? TIA!
Currently preparing for a shift to a startup, where I’ll initially be making less money than I do now in Big 4, but I believe in the mission, the founder, and the vision. Any advice for preparing for the leap?
I am working for 12-14 hours a day in a non client facing role at one of the big 4. What are some of the exit opportunities I can think of in the next 1-2 years? I want to have a 9-6 job with decent pay.
What is the process for paying back your sign on bonus. Thinking about leaving Big 4 within clawback period and would like to hear perspectives/advice
Some former colleagues at Manager level at B4 left for IB jobs where they joined as Associates. Not sure they got a pay-cut, it’s likely though, but definitely a Title/responsibility/leadership cut in my opinion. How do you feel about either pay-cuts or title cuts when transitioning industries? Does it worth the “cost(s)” if it is really the role you want to move to? (Looking at a possible exit opp, but most likely A or SrA. role at IB boutique, not higher)
How impacted are summer ‘20 internships for current students? Any cancellations or still moving forward at FAANG, F100, and MBB/B4?
What agencies would hire management consultants? A little stifled after all these years at a Big 4 and want to be in a creative environment
Can anyone provide some numbers re: how much a forensic accounting SM1 can expect to make in Toronto at Big 4?
Should I switch b4 firms for a 15% pay bump?
Deloitte layoffs still happening. What the heck?
Fly day!!! To vacation for 3 weeks!!!
I'm going to be taking client calls tomorrow at JFK, is there a good place outside security where I can have relative quiet and good internet? Co-working space 1day rentals included!
Anyone leave consulting to go into executive recruiting? Just had a call with a firm for a senior role (essentially one level below partner), they offered some pretty impressive comp numbers if you hit their targets. I'm wondering if this is a legit opportunity, and want to get some perspective
I have an interview tomorrow but am finally getting opportunities at current gig so while I still feel underpaid, I’m not eager to leave anymore. I’m afraid I’ll show that in the interview. Any tips?
BigLaw litigator in a niche practice, interviewing for an in-house position in a tech/industrial startup. I’ve interviewed with the legal team, who understood my narrow background due to the specialized nature of BigLaw and my current practice. But my further interviews are with business and technical executives, who I fear will reject me because I don’t have any prior in-house experience or relevant industry experience. What kind of questions should I prepare for? How do I impress?
I'm so sick of this industry. I got into Finance because I felt I had something to prove to other students around me... that I could make it. 24 y/o and I can no longer care what others think.
Joined right out of undergrad and now interviewing for an early but funded start up ... does anyone have suggestions for questions to ask in final round / own research for me to "kick the tires" on the company? I feel like I don't know what I don't know!
Befor Covid, were any of you working moms who had to travel? I’m in audit and I’m so nervous about having kids and having to spend the night away from them when they are little.
As a PMO, do you usually create the test plan for your project or is it done by the requirements/functional lead?
Has anyone managed to get a Dropbox appointment in Bangalore? Any insight into wait times to get an appointment? Planning to go to India for a few months in early 2021 and wanted to get my visa stamped.
Does anyone really believe these “partner pension plans” / pyramid schemes will really last for a few more decades?
Honest opinion on the COVID vaccine mandates? No judgement on my part; just want to know the heartbeat of the community?
Senior 1 salary San Diego?
I've been on the bench since I started two months ago. Keep getting told things are coming down the pipeline "soon." When does it end?? 🤔🤔
