I'm more nervous about the new folks that I have only met via Teams, including my 1st-ever direct report. I feel fine in my own skin most of the time but when I am in new and unfamiliar situations I get crazy body dysmorphia and super concious of my physicality. 1YOE medical device NPI Lead looking for salary perspective

Mechanical engineering grad, joined a medical device startup that I had done co-ops at. 8mo into full-time, pivoted from engineering into more of an operations role doing new product introduction (NPI), now with 3 direct reports.

The combination of startup+medical device+NPI seems very unique and I'm struggling to find salary comparables. Currently making 75k but it feels very low given my new responsibility and impact. Any advice?

Have you ever worked for CDs who get so nit picky about insignificant details during post-production? And then they get praised for seeming like they “catch” everything? makes me think they don’t have anything better to comment on or make better. Is that really the best use of a CD’s time?

My father respects me more now that I am in the military, I understand him because he was a marine himself, but I can't help thinking how unfair that is. Glad I enjoy being in the troops!

Music was always there for me while being deployed. I mostly listened to classical music, even though I was never a fan before. Did anyone else find escape in music?

My mother always kept me going, even in the most difficult times, everytime I spoke with her on the phone while I was deployed I left smiling and feeling the warmth that only a mother could bring, I'm here thanks to her.

I don't know why I heard some colleagues laugh at pilots like if they were the weakest link in the force. I think they are the strongest. Like, do you think a weak person would have the nerve to fly a giant machine that carries more people inside, knowing they might be the first target?
