Product Management at a large bank vs Business Analytics/S&O for FAANG? Recently started in the former role, but have interview calls for the latter just come up in my mailbox. Similar comp when adjusted for the different job locations. Can anyone help me with the Pros and Cons please. I know the roles are different, and so are the industries, need to understand difference career paths and difference in corporate cultures. JPMorgan Chase Google LinkedIn Citi

From friends that have done both, going one way or the other - there seems to be a ton more rigorous and hands-on training and feedback (including constant development culture) at MBB. My feedback cycle is biweekly + informal real time + formal end of every project for example. Whereas FAANG tend to leave you more alone to figure things out on your own. So apart from brand, case to be made about accelerated training and learning at MBB. Also my experience (certainly not everyone’s) has been very high quality managers to learn from as examples.
This is helpful BCG1 thank you

Following as I’m in the exact same dilemma and starting MBA this fall. Is it better to MBB first? My school recruits heavily into both MBB and FAANG but wondering if salaries in FAANG would be higher a few more years out
What roles are you looking into? mbb has value if you want strategy and operations, but if you want something more technical it's a waste of time - you'd be better off putting the time in FAANG directly in your preferred role if the opportunity arises.
