Same here. Just applied online and got a call. I had applied for the wrong posting as well

In pre-covid times actually pretty decent especially with relevant consulting experience. Ideally you get a referral but you won’t be auto ATS rejected. But seriously why not do some networking? Kearney is a small firm and a quick LinkedIn search will find the lead of the relevant practice where you have experience. When Eric Gervet and Alex Liu did there respective Q&As they posted lots of relevant info and even emails, I would start there.

Oh you are a campus hire at a target school? Scratch what I said then. Make sure you attend the relevant virtual events and stay connected that way. I just moved on from consulting and left Kearney two months ago, so I’m probably not the best help.

I did as an experienced hire

Did you guys have to submit a cover letter? If so, were you able to talk to ppl at the firm to tailor and customize the letter, or was it more generic?

Thank you! I dmed you for additional follow up

Its just Kearney now

I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. I wrote a rec letter for one of my legal assistants for law school right before COVID got bad and we all started working remote. Ever since then, this assistant has seemingly been slacking. There’s only so much I can actually see/review without seriously micromanaging her. I’ve spoken to her about her slacking at least twice and both times she just brushed it off. I want to withdraw my rec letter, but I feel like it’s too late. She is leaving at the end of the summer. Should I just let it be?
