I’ve been losing my hair for a while, started to accentuate in my early 40s, I’m 50 now. Since I always had my hair super short, it was not a big impact for me, so keep yours short. Also growing a beard helps reframe your face when you are in advanced stages.
I don’t think there is a consensus, sure there are guys that don’t like balding men, but it is more than compensated by the guys that like or are ok with that, so in the end you lose some but you gain more.
