Hi everyone. A PDM specialist here. Joined Deloitte 5+ years back as ‘Senior Solution Engineer -On-site’.Later in June 2017 all these ‘on-site’ folks got rebranded as PDM. Slowly started to realize how PDM is getting sidelined as a ‘discountable’ group. Sometimes I feel contract jobs are better than being at PDM , but obviously tied up with D for visa related issues. No career progression so far and don’t see any positive changes in the near future as well.I think it’s high time to call it a day.

I walked 50 yards out of my way to the bathroom so the staffing partner wouldn’t see me.
I always do this

Got the shoutout from NonEquityPartner lol
ended a call with feel free to “holla” at me went I meant to say “call” me because I was nervous and totally blurted it out for god knows why.
my only real skill is being the lolz but somehow everyone tolerates me bc of it
Assumed someone calling me from BofA was a telemarketer, when he was actually calling in connection with the deal we were trying to close
Oh, yeah - that happens.

I just played along when a partner remembered me mentioning where I am from incorrectly. For some reason I am now a senior associate. I still work with them and we are familiar enough that when I mention visiting my parents for holidays they reference this location. It’s too late to fix this so I guess I’m from Oregon forever or have to make up a move lmao
"for some reason" lol
Hung up the conference room phone when I meant to hit mute—kicking all 20+ attorneys for multiple parties off the line—during the first discovery conference call I was responsible for running.
I thought it was the end of the world at the time!
Little did I know, the road to partnership is paved with “oops” and “eesh.”
Sent a fee letter as part of a closing set to folks not party to it
Responded to an email after 12 am.

Missed a filing deadline by like 10 minutes because I didn’t wait for the metadata scrubber in Outlook to finish. I cried all night about it. No one noticed or mentioned the late filing 😂
Everything
Called OP named Trish “Trash” in an email. It was not a nice email either so seemed like the typo was on purpose

Had someone coming to my apartment to buy my couch during our client’s investor presentation call. Accidentally went off mute and the partner called me out by name and asked me to mute. This was 4 years ago and I still can’t get over it.
This made me laugh so much 😂
Waited till after midnight to send emails to make it look like I’ve been working late.
I do this, except I just do a scheduled send. Best of both worlds.
Not leaving when I had offers to go in-house my 3rd and 4th years.
Yes. Definitely get a lot more bites per resume and am actively interviewing, but I hate it where I’m at and will have to eat a signing bonus if I leave.
Sent an un-anonymized list of bidders w/ their bid amounts to the printer for a public filing. Was not fired 🙄
As a summer lied about why I was late to a meeting and later admitted I overslept. Was taken to hiring partner’s office for chat about integrity. Toxic place - happy not to be working there today.
Hate those toxic places and all their “accountability” for my “actions”
Spelled a name wrong in an email to the client.
My own name.
Impressive.

I will never change.
Put a sign on my door saying I was at a work conference so people wouldn’t think I was just out of the office. So dumb. A SA took it down thankfully and told me to never do that again.
A partner asked me to “highlight” a set of cases for him (aka, summarize them) and what did I do? Provided him a list of the cases with a few bullet points underneath, and then I HIGHLIGHTED the names of all the cases. So helpful
