What’s the difference between what auditors and advisory (FAAS) do when it comes to working on IPOs and SPAC projects?

An auditor audits the financials. FAAS will construct the financials, help identify any weaknesses in financial reporting and governance structures needed for the company to go public and help them remediate those weaknesses. They would also help them with any accounting policy issues they might currently be experiencing.

Hi Folks,

I had joined Deloitte India last June, with fixed pay as 15.5 LPA.
I have total 6.8 years of experience, Senior Consultant.

Now I have an offer from Mindtree, with Total CTC of 22 LPA,today is last day to accept the offer.

I know the appraisal is due in Deloitte India, letter will be released on June 26, my coach said my feedback was good, also scatterplot is good.

What should I do? Should I move on and put down papers or wait for appraisal results then search for opportunities.

I’m going crazy in Audit, I’m an A2. I think I’m going to try and transition to consulting. Would it be smarter to stay within the firm or go to a new one, and is there a half-step I should take (such as going to TAS for a year or so) before going into consulting? I just want more exposure to companies I work on than just the audit, it doesn’t feel like stuff I’ll be using in 5 years (but I’d be happy to be proven wrong on that). Business strategy/biz dev is catching my interest recently.
