What’s the difference in prep work for a private equity vs private credit interview?

Cross posting this: Received the following question in an interview for an RX group: “What would cause major discrepancies between a 13-week cash flow model and a company’s internal three statement model?”

Does anyone have a good answer to this? All I said was pushed payments, delayed receipts, and cash vs book capex

I’m being offered a role that on paper is “investment manager” and everything on it is about doing market research and DD. But I just had a call that it would be requiring a sales quota monthly and bringing money in the door for each deals as well as the research side. It’s secondaries market VC. Am I being shafted?

In what cases is VC worth it at the lower non partner level, given that it's top heavy and paths to partner don't really exist? And outside of pre MBA?
Seems like a very narrow field with narrow exits?
