Product -
Better planned work.
Ownership of products.
Seniors are generally SMEs and you learn a lot from them.
Generally less work pressure.
Generally, slower to move to new tech .
More chances to get some legacy outdated tech work.
Changing team is hard.

Service-
More politics ,more competition.
Work is all dependent on client how he wants it.
Seniors most of the times are not upto the mark.
Work pressure.
Can easily change teams and tech as compared to product.

Thank you

few things are the ownership of the deliverables and clarity in KT documents as the product is in house. Moderately formal env as communication is not with upstream clients

Here’s the situation:

Anaplan just got acquired by Thoma Bravo and will be taken off NYSE. I have been with the company for 3 months and work in Sales. I haven’t been a part of an acquisition or merger of any kind, but I’m pretty sure an acquisition of this kind is a gamble for employees to stick around. I have heard TB is brutal after acquisitions.

Should I leave and find a better role before shit hits the fan or stay and see if I can advance quick through attrition and go from there???
