What's the dirtiest sales tactic you've ever personally seen carried out? Upper management at my company are encouraging some really scummy practices, and I'm wondering if that's more of the industry norm than I thought.

What type of product market are you in? Doing this in a SaaS or services market would basically kill any upsell or renewal and blow up relationships.

I could see more physical product market or by a Series A/B company looking to inflate sales before an exit.

Hey everyone, an Amazon Amazon recruiter reached out to me awhile back for a strategic sales position. I just got the denial from them one day after the interview. The recruiter gave me quite the list to prepare and my interviewer literally brought up none of it. 3 questions, tell me about what you do, what’s your sales cycle like and how would you explain cloud in the simplest terms. That’s it. I felt like we got along great, so i was surprised at this. Any feedback anyone can provide?

Hi everyone! I am about 8 months into my job as a BDR. my first job! It pays well and i love my coworkers. Its also fully remote which is nice bc i love flexibility. The problem i’m having is i dont really enjoy the job. I hate objection handling, and I get so stressed that i wont hit my goals. I also dont really like my AM i work with. Hi all, I’m a BDR at Fortinet @ with 10 months experience. There’s no progression and I’ve been offered a role in an e-commerce BDR role (series funding C) which pays about £12,000 more (60k OTE), company has a history of promoting people in just 6 months to AE which is what I want to be. Do you think it’s worth the risk as I’m in a well established firm going to a startup? Keen to understand the risks of going to a startup as a BDR too, assume it’s tougher! Fully remote, 2 months work abroad!
